Wreath Laying at Ferenish, Drimnin

News

We have usually had an Act of Remembrance and Wreath Laying at the War Memorial at Ferenish, Drimnin in the afternoon on Remembrance Sunday. Over recent years attendance at this time has been low and I’m wondering about the best time to mark the remembrance of those from the community who lost their lives in the World Wars.

I will be very happy to be in Drimnin on the afternoon of the 8th November. There is however another event at Kilmalieu which may be of interest to others from Drimnin – an Outdoor Worship Gathering.

Gathering at Ferenish sometime on Saturday 6th or Monday 9th would be alternative options. (Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be available on 11th)

It would be good to have some feedback particularly from folk in Drimnin before making a final decision.

There will be wreath laying at Lochaline Memorial at 10.50am on 8th November. Other times and arrangements for the other memorials on the peninsulas will be posted here soon.
