Offerings

As with all Church of Scotland congregations, the congregations rely on the generosity of the offerings of members and friends.

If you would like to make an offering towards the ongoing work of the local parish churches you can give in the following ways.

  • Payments can be made via Internet banking, please contact one of the treasurers or Rev Donald for Account Details if you don’t already have them.
  • Using the DONATE facility on the Church of Scotland Website you can specify which congregation you wish to support. Payment is processed via PAYPAL – but you don’t need a PAYPAL account to make a payment using your Credit or Debit Card. There is also the opportunity to make a Gift Aid Declaration so that Income Tax you pay on your contribution can be reclaimed by the congregation. There is a small PayPal admin fee.
  • Cheques payable to Ardgour, Morvern and Strontian Parish Church, or Acharacle and Ardnamurchan Parish church can be passed to local treasurers or to Rev Donald McCorkindale, The Manse, 2 The Meadows, Strontian, PH36 4HZ.
  • Cash or Cheques can be placed in the Offering Plate at any of the Churches

Gift Aid

By completing a simple Gift Aid Form, the church is able to reclaim the income tax that you pay on your offering. If you have given to any of the congregations in the past, or will do so in the future from taxable income, then please do download and complete the form and forward this to Rev Donald McCorkindale or to one of the local treasurers. You can also complete a gift aid form online when using the online DONATE facility.
